You can find us at D/103, Vimal Krupa, which is part of the Satyam Flat complex in Ahmedabad. We are right near the Prerna Tirtha Jain Temple in Jodhpur, so it’s a pretty easy spot to locate if you know the landmark. Gruh Finance Ltd. has been around this neighborhood for a long time. People come in to talk about loans and housing, and we sit down with them in our small office space. It’s not a huge corporate headquarters, just a local branch where we know the people who walk through the door. The building is a bit older, but it’s sturdy and keeps us out of the heat. We spend a lot of time going over documents and checking numbers on our calculators. It’s quiet work for the most part, except when the temple nearby has a big event and the streets get packed. We try to keep things moving so people aren't waiting too long to hear back about their applications. There are a few of us working here, and we’ve all become pretty good friends over the years. We don't use a lot of fancy financial jargon. We just tell it like it is. It’s a bit of a walk up to the flat, but we don't mind the exercise. We’ve got our files organized and our pens ready every morning. Sometimes we bring in sweets to share when someone’s loan finally gets sorted out.
