Rang Udyog is located at Plot No. 36/2 in Phase-2 of the GIDC. We are right next to some of the other chemical units, which makes sense since we deal with colors and dyes. The "Rang" in our name basically tells you what we do. Our workshop is usually a bit colorful, as you might expect, with splashes of different tints here and there on the floors. It’s not a perfectly clean place, but it’s where the work happens. We have a few mixing vats and a lot of storage for the pigments. The building itself is just a standard industrial shed with a small office area tucked into the front. We don’t have any big corporate slogans or anything; we just provide colors to the people who need them. Most of the work is manual, so we are always on our feet. The heat in the GIDC can be a bit much in the middle of the day, but we manage. We’ve got a small, tight-knit group of workers who know the recipes for the different shades by heart. It’s a simple business, really. We don't spend money on advertising or anything like that. We just rely on the fact that we’ve been at Plot 36/2 for a long time and people know we do a decent job with the dyes. Sometimes the trucks have a hard time backing in because the space is tight, but we make it work. It's just a regular day.
