Jagson Colour Chem Ltd.

Jagson Colour Chem Ltd. is spread out over Plot No. 5601-5604 in Phase-Ii of the GIDC in Vatva. Since we have four plots joined together, it is a fairly large space compared to some of our neighbors. There is a lot of walking back and forth between the different sections of the facility. One part is for storage, another is for the actual chemical processing, and we have a small corner for the office staff. Because we deal with colors and chemicals, the place always has a very distinct atmosphere. It’s busy and it can get quite loud when all the stirrers and pumps are going at the same time. We have a fairly large crew of workers who come in shifts, so the gate at Plot 5601 is always seeing some kind of activity. We don't go in for any of that modern corporate culture stuff. We just have a job to do and we get it done. The sun in Vatva can be really brutal in the afternoons, hitting the tin roofs of the factory, so we all look forward to the cooler evenings. Most of the people working here have been part of the team for a long time, so we all know each other’s families and stories. It’s just a regular workplace where we try to do decent work without making a big fuss about it. It’s a lot of manual labor and keeping an eye on the details.
