J Dye Chem Industries

If you go to Phase-3 of the GIDC in Vatva, Ahmedabad, you’ll find us at C-1/5516. The pincode is 382445. Ahmedabad gets incredibly hot, and being in an industrial shed doesn't make it any cooler. We have J Dye Chem Industries running out of this location. It’s a lot of manual work. We don't have a lot of office staff; it’s mostly just the people on the floor. We deal with the chemicals and the dyes every day. The walls inside have some stains and the floor is definitely used, but that’s normal for this kind of work. We aren't trying to impress anyone with how the place looks. We just want to get the work done right. In the mornings, we all get here and start the machines. There is a lot of noise from the neighboring units too, since everyone is packed in pretty tight in Phase-3. We take a lunch break together and usually talk about the news or what's going on in the city. We don't have a mission or a fancy slogan. We just have the address C-1/5516 and the work that needs finishing by five or six o’clock. It’s a long day sometimes, but we are used to it. Vatva is a tough place to work, but it’s where we’ve built our routine over the years. We just keep moving forward with the daily batches.
