Ideal Sheet Metal Pvt. Ltd. is based at Plot No. 94/2, Phase-1, Gidc. Being in Phase-1 means we are in one of the older, more established parts of the estate. The buildings here have some character and the trees are a bit taller than in the newer sections. We deal with sheet metal, so there is always a lot of clanging and banging going on. We have several large presses and cutters that take up most of the room. It’s important to watch where you step because there are often offcuts of metal on the floor. We try to keep it organized at Plot No. 94/2, but it's a constant battle against the mess of production. Our staff is used to the noise and the heat. We have a small area near the back where we keep our lockers and take our lunch breaks. It’s not anything special, just a place to sit down for a bit. The office is a tiny room with a window that looks out onto the shop floor. We can see everything that’s happening from there. We’ve been working out of this Gidc location for years and we’ve seen a lot of businesses come and go. We just keep our heads down and focus on the metal in front of us. It’s a living and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. Sometimes we stay late when a big order comes in.
