Our place, Siddhivinayak Laser Fabrication, is located over in Phase-I of the GIDC in Vatva. We’re at B-2, Maruti Industrial Estate, right opposite Kirti Tools. If you know Ahmedabad, you know Vatva is where all the heavy lifting happens. We spend our days working with laser cutting and getting metal pieces into the right shapes. The machines are pretty big and they take up most of the floor space. It’s a noisy environment, but that’s the nature of fabrication work. We’ve been here for quite a while, and the team knows the machines inside out. We don’t have a fancy showroom or a reception desk with flowers. It’s an industrial shed through and through. We focus on getting the dimensions right and making sure the edges are clean for the next stage of whatever they're being used for. Sometimes the deadlines are tight, so we end up staying late to finish a batch. It’s dusty and there’s always the smell of cut metal in the air. We just take the drawings we get and turn them into real parts. Most of our customers are other factories nearby that need specific components. It’s practical work. We take care of our equipment because if a laser goes down, everything stops. It’s just us and the machines, trying to keep the production moving every day. We don't have time for fancy talk, we just get the metal cut and shipped.
