Abhinay Steel

Abhinay Steel is located at Plot No. 615 in Phase-4 of the Gidc. Working with steel is exactly what you would expect—it’s heavy, it’s noisy, and it’s a lot of hard work. Our plot is usually filled with beams, rods, and various scraps of metal. We don’t have a polished showroom. What you see is a working yard where we cut and move steel all day long. The air usually smells like metal and ozone from the cutting torches. It’s a tough environment, but the people who work here are used to it. We don't use much fancy language to describe what we do. We just take orders for steel and get it ready for whoever needs it. Some days the yard is a bit of a mess, especially when a big shipment comes in and we’re scrambling to find space for it. Phase-4 can get pretty crowded with trucks, so getting in and out sometimes takes longer than we'd like. We have a small office on the edge of the plot where we keep the books, but most of the time is spent outside or under the shed. It’s the kind of place where a handshake still means something. We’ve been here at Plot 615 for quite a while, and we’ve seen the neighborhood change as more shops moved into the Gidc. We just keep doing our thing, day after day, without making much of a fuss. It is just about moving the metal and keeping the customers happy.
