The New Tulip International School

The New Tulip International School is located in Sterling City, Bopal, which is a growing part of Ahmedabad. Even though the name sounds a bit grand, we are actually quite a down-to-earth group. Bopal has changed a lot lately, with new buildings going up everywhere, but we’ve stayed pretty consistent in our corner of the neighborhood. The school building is large enough to hold all our students comfortably, but it still feels like a local spot. We don't use those scripted lines or corporate slogans you might hear from the big chains. We’re just here to provide a place for kids to spend their day. You’ll see the teachers chatting in the corridors or sitting together during their lunch break sharing food from their dabbas. The halls can get quite echoey when they’re empty, but most of the time they’re full of the sounds of people talking and moving around. We have a lot of stairs and windows that look out over the residential streets. Sometimes the traffic in Bopal gets a bit much, especially during the festival seasons, but inside the gates, we have our own little world. We keep the place running as best as we can, fixing things when they break and making sure the water is cold. It’s just a regular school where we do our jobs without making a big deal out of it. We like the local feel here.
