The Learning Curve, Himmatlal Park

You can find us at 24 Niharika Bungalow. We are right near Azad Society in Himmatlal Park. The Learning Curve is basically a house that we turned into a space for children. Because it’s a bungalow, it doesn’t feel like a cold institution. It has a yard and some rooms that used to be bedrooms. We like it that way because it’s easier for the kids to settle in. Himmatlal Park is a pretty decent area, mostly residential and quiet except for when the kids are outside playing. The front gate is where everyone meets in the morning. We spend a lot of our time just organizing the daily activities and making sure there is enough space for everyone. Sometimes the kitchen gets crowded when we are preparing snacks. It’s a very hands-on kind of place. We don’t have a big corporate office or a PR person. If you call, one of the teachers or the person at the front desk will just pick up and talk to you. The neighbors are mostly used to the sounds of singing and playing coming from our direction. We try to keep things tidy, but with toys and art supplies, it’s a constant battle. It’s a practical setup for what we do. People in the society know us by name, and we know most of them too. It’s just a small, local operation that keeps us busy from Monday to Friday. We keep things simple and focus on the day ahead.
