Tailors Point

Tailors Point is located at No. 3 Zodiac Square on S.G. Road. We are directly opposite the Gurudwara, so we’re pretty easy to find once you get to that stretch of the road. S.G. Road is always moving, and we’ve been here in this shop for a good while. The shop isn't huge, but we have enough room for our tables and machines. It’s a real workshop atmosphere here. You’ll see fabric scraps on the floor and half-finished clothes hanging up. We don't try to look like a high-end mall shop. We are just a place where people come to get their tailoring done. Most of the staff has been sewing for most of their lives. We listen to the radio while we work to keep things lively. Sometimes we have a lot of customers at once and it gets a bit chaotic. We just try to get through the pile one piece at a time. It’s a lot of manual work and it can be tiring, but it’s what we know. We aren't interested in being a big brand. We just want to do a decent job for the people who walk through the door. Zodiac Square is a good spot for us because people know the area well. If you stop by, you’ll probably find us hunched over a machine or marking out some cloth. It’s a simple, honest way to earn a living.
