We are located in B-208209 of the City Center Complexnear Idgah Cercil. This part of Ahmedabad is always a very busy spot with people moving around constantly. There is a lot of noise from the traffic outside and people shouting in the hallways of the building. We spend most of our mornings unpacking big bundles of cloth and trying to find space for everything on the shelves. It gets crowded in here quite fast once the new stock arrives. Sometimes the elevator in the complex does not work so we have to carry the heavy bags up the stairs. That is not very fun when it is forty degrees outside in the summer. We mostly sell different kinds of clothing items to people who stop by or other small shops nearby. It is not a very large operation. My brother helps with the accounts and I mostly talk to the people who come in. We have shelves that go all the way to the ceiling and sometimes I forget what we put on the very top ones. We have to use a long stick to get things down. It is a simple way of doing things but it has worked for us for a long time. Most of our day is just checking the quality of the stitching and making sure the orders are ready for the customers to pick up. We just open the shutters in the morning and stay until the sun goes down.
