Sweta Dyestuff & Intermediates Limited is out in Phase I of the G.I.D.C. Estate in Naroda. Our address is C1B/322/3, and we are right behind the post office. It’s a good landmark because people always get lost in the G.I.D.C. streets. This is an industrial heartland, so it’s all about production and chemicals here. Our place is a mix of a small lab and a manufacturing area. It’s not pretty to look at, but it’s where we spend twelve hours a day sometimes. We make dyes and intermediates, so things can get a bit messy. You’ll see stains on the floor and workers in overalls everywhere. We don’t bother with fancy offices because the real work happens on the floor. Most of our staff lives nearby in Naroda or Ahmedabad. We’ve been at this for a long time, so we know the local regulations and how the power cuts around here work. We don’t have a big marketing budget or a social media page. Most of our business comes from people who have been buying from us for a decade. We just focus on getting the chemical balance right and making sure the drums are sealed properly. It’s hard work, especially in the summer heat, but it’s what we do. We just stay behind the post office and keep the machines running.
