Our place is at Plot No. 2009 in Phase-III of the G.I.D.C in Vatva. It’s a massive industrial estate, and if you aren't careful, you can get lost in the grid of plots for hours. Swati Dyes & Chemical Industries has been operating from here for a good while. The air always has that heavy, industrial scent of dyes and processing. It’s a rugged environment, not for everyone. We don't have any air conditioning in the main work area, so the fans are always spinning fast to keep us cool. The floor is stained with different shades from years of work, which I think gives the place some character. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a fancy lobby or modern furniture. We just want to make sure the dyes are being handled properly and the shipments go out on the trucks waiting in the lane. It’s a lot of physical work, moving bags and checking the vats. The guys here have been doing this for a long time and they know the routine. We take our lunch breaks together under the shade of the overhang when we can. It’s not a quiet job, and the machinery can be quite loud when everything is running at once. But it’s the kind of place where you know exactly what’s happening just by looking around. No corporate fluff, just a lot of hard work and practical steps to get through the daily list of tasks. We stay late most nights just to keep everything on track.
