You can find us out at Survey No.779/A, right along the Thol Kadi Sanand Highway. It’s a bit of a drive from the main city, so we get a lot of trucks passing by on their way to Ta. Kadi. The yard is pretty big and mostly filled with stainless steel sheets and coils that catch the sunlight. Because we’re right by the highway, there’s always a layer of dust on everything, and you can hear the traffic rushing past all day long. We spend most of our hours checking the finish on the steel to make sure it’s what was asked for. It’s a lot of physical labor, dragging things around and making sure the stacks are stable so they don’t tip over. The sun gets really intense out here in this part of the country, so we try to do the heaviest lifting early in the morning before it gets too miserable. We have a small shed where we take our breaks and keep our water bottles cool. It’s not a glamorous setup, just a practical one for handling heavy metal loads. Sometimes a driver will stop in just to ask for directions or get a bit of help with a load. We’ve been at this spot for a while now, and the landscape around the highway hasn't changed much, just more steel coming in and going out.
