Standard Spring Works

Standard Spring Works is tucked away in the Pushpak Estate in the Rakhial area. If you know where the Gujarat Botting Compound is, we are right there, just across from Anupam Estate at unit C/20. We make springs of all different sorts. The machines here make a lot of noise, and there is always the smell of cold metal and machine oil in the air. It is a workshop, through and through. We started out small and stayed in this industrial area because it is where all the making happens. My father used to say that every machine needs a good spring, and we have seen plenty of them go through our doors over the years. We work with different types of steel and wire to get the tension exactly where it needs to be. Some days we are making thousands of tiny springs for small gadgets, and other days we are working on big ones that are actually quite hard to lift. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings, and we have to sweep it up every evening before we lock the gates. It is a gritty job, but there is something satisfying about seeing a finished batch ready to be shipped out. We do not have a marketing team or a fancy website. Most people find us because they saw our sign while visiting another unit in the estate. We have been here in Rakhial long enough that the other shop owners know us.
