Soni Medicines

Soni Medicines is our little shop tucked away at C/10 in the Soham Complex. We are right under the bridge in Odhav Gam, which makes it easy to find once you know where you’re going. The noise from the bridge is something we’ve just learned to ignore over the years. We sell medicines to the people here in Odhav, and we’ve been doing it for a good stretch of time. The shop isn't very large, but we pack a lot into it. We spend our mornings checking the expiration dates and making sure the fridge is at the right temperature for the stuff that needs to stay cold. It’s mostly just routine work, really. We see a lot of families from the neighborhood, and we know who needs what before they even ask sometimes. We don't use any high-tech systems for everything; a lot of it is still written down in our ledgers. It feels more personal that way, I think. When the weather gets hot, the shop stays surprisingly cool because of the building's position. We aren’t looking to expand into some giant chain or anything. We like being the local spot where you can grab what you need and have a quick chat. Odhav is a hardworking area, and we fit right in with that. We just show up, do the job, and go home. People seem to appreciate that we don't make a big production out of everything. It's just us.
