Sigma Mixer

Sigma Mixer is over at Laxmi Industrial Estate in Amraiwadi. We are right next to the Mathur Master Estate, which is a busy little hub of workshops. We build mixers here, the big industrial ones used for mixing powders or chemicals. It’s heavy work and involves a lot of steel and welding. Our unit is just a standard shed, really. There’s nothing special about the architecture. Inside, it’s mostly just tools, welding machines, and half-finished mixers waiting for parts. We’ve been in Amraiwadi for many years now. The neighborhood is full of other small factories, so there’s a constant hum of activity all around us. We don't have a sales department or anyone who wears a tie to work. We just build the machines ourselves. If a customer has a question, they talk directly to the person who made the mixer. It’s a simple way of doing things that seems to work for us. Sometimes the narrow streets get blocked by big trucks, and we have to help guide them in. We drink a lot of tea and usually have our lunch together on some crates. It’s not a polished business, but we know what we’re doing with the metal and the motors. It's what we've always done. We just keep our heads down and focus on the work at hand.
