Shreemati S N Patel B Ed College is located inside the Sharda Shikshan Tirth Bhavan in the Asarwa area of Ahmedabad. It’s a busy part of the city, and our building stands out a bit among the others on the street. Since we are a B.Ed college, the people coming here are mostly adults preparing to become teachers themselves. The atmosphere is usually quite serious, but you still hear the occasional laughter from the hallways during the breaks. Ahmedabad gets very hot, so the stone floors in the Bhavan are a relief when you step inside from the street. The rooms are large with big windows, though we often have to keep the blinds closed against the afternoon glare. We are at 380016, which is a fairly central spot that people can get to without much trouble. The furniture is functional and has been around for a while. We don't have any shiny brochures or fancy lobby areas. It’s just a place of learning with books, desks, and a lot of note-taking. People come here from all over the city to finish their training. We just keep things simple and focus on the schedule. The building has a bit of an old-fashioned feel to it, which is quite common for this part of Asarwa. We don’t try to be anything we aren’t; we just provide the space and the setting for the students to do their work. It’s a quiet routine that repeats every single week.
