This shop is located at 1 Prayag Society. We are right by the Ankur Char Rasta in Naranpura. It’s a cooperative setup, which means things are run a bit differently than a standard private store. We’ve been in this spot for a long time. People from the society and the surrounding Naranpura area come in for their daily needs. It’s a local bhandar, so it’s mostly about providing the basics to the community. The building itself is older, but it serves its purpose for what we do. We don’t have flashy lights or big displays. It’s just shelves with goods and a counter where we talk to the regulars. Sometimes the line gets a bit long in the evenings when everyone is coming home from work, but people don’t seem to mind much. We know most of the faces that walk through the door. It’s a quiet kind of work, just keeping track of the stock and making sure everything is fair for everyone. Ankur Char Rasta is always noisy with cars and scooters, but inside the society, it feels a bit more settled. We just keep the doors open and do our part for the local folk. It’s a steady routine that doesn't change much. We don't try to be anything we aren't. Just a neighborhood store that’s been around for the long haul. We keep things simple because that is what works best for us and the people who shop here.
