Arvind Mills Ltd [Telecom Division]

Our division is way up on the 10th floor of Sakar-III. It’s a tall building off Ashram Road, right near the Income Tax Circle. From up here, you can see all the traffic piling up at the intersection, which is actually quite a sight during the monsoon rains. Arvind Mills Ltd [Telecom Division] is the telecom part of the company. The office is pretty standard with rows of cubicles and a few meeting rooms that always seem to be booked. We spend our days dealing with service issues and planning out new projects. It's a long elevator ride up in the morning, and sometimes you have to wait a while if one of the lifts is out of order. Being near the Income Tax office means the area is always packed with people and cars. We usually head out to one of the tea stalls near the ground floor for a quick snack in the afternoon. The air conditioning is always blasting in here, so some of us keep sweaters at our desks even during the peak of summer. It’s a busy environment but we try to keep things relaxed among ourselves. We have a lot of files and technical equipment taking up space in the corners of the room. It’s just a normal office where everyone knows each other’s names and we get through the daily tasks together. The view of the city is probably the best part of being in this building.
