Shivam Vidhyalay

Shivam Vidhyalay is situated at Plot No 1077 in Sector 2 of Gandhinagar. Being in Gandhinagar, the area is laid out in that very organized, rectangular way the city is known for. Our school fits right into that grid. It’s a standard school building where we’ve been teaching for quite a few years now. The surroundings are mostly quiet residential streets and government-style housing, so it’s a safe spot for the kids to walk to. We have a regular routine that starts early in the morning. The classrooms are basic, with rows of benches and boards that have seen a lot of chalk over the years. We don't have a massive budget for fancy things, so we just make sure the fans work and the roof doesn't leak when the monsoon hits. The playground is a simple open space where students play during their break times. Most of our teachers live in the nearby sectors, so there’s a real neighborhood feel to the place. We don’t put out many advertisements or anything; most people know us just from living nearby or hearing about us from a neighbor. We just focus on getting through the school day and making sure the students learn what they need to. It’s a very typical Gandhinagar school, plain and functional, where the focus is on the daily work of education without any extra fuss or fancy promises. We just keep the school going.
