Shivam Refrigeration & Electronics (Satellite)

Being over at 4 Shivalaya-1 in the Jodhpur area of Satellite keeps us pretty occupied, especially when the weather starts getting warm. We are near Nishant Bunglows - 2, so it's a residential spot mostly. Our main thing is fixing fridges and looking at electronics that have decided to quit working. A lot of the time, it's just a blown capacitor or something simple, but other times we have to take the whole thing apart on the shop floor. It gets a bit cramped in here when we have three or four big refrigerators lined up for repair, but we make it work. We aren't a big showroom with bright lights; it's more of a workshop feel where there's always a soldering iron or a screwdriver nearby. People from Satellite drop by their microwave or tell us their AC isn't cooling, and we head out to take a look. We try to be honest about whether something is worth fixing or if it's just too old to bother with. There’s no point in someone spending money on a lost cause. Most of our days are spent on the road or leaning over a cooling coil. It’s dusty work and sometimes your hands get pretty greasy, but it’s what we know how to do. We just keep plugging away at it every day, even when it’s hot as anything outside and the work feels like it’s never going to end.
