Shantiniketan Vidhyavihar

Shantiniketan Vidhyavihar is located in Swadeshi Ni Chawl, right on Station Road in Kalol. This is in the Gandhinagar-Gujarat area, 382721. Being so close to the station means there is always something happening outside our doors. The sound of trains and the general bustle of commuters is just part of our daily background. We are a local school that has been serving the families living in and around the chawl for a good while. The rooms aren't huge, but we make them work for the students we have. It’s a lively environment, with children chatting in the hallways and teachers moving from one class to another. We have a modest entrance and a small space for the staff to sit and do their planning. The tiles on the floor are a bit worn from all the feet walking over them, but it gives the place a lived-in feel. People in Kalol know where we are, so we don't need big signs. We just focus on the daily lessons and the exams that come around every few months. It gets pretty busy during the morning drop-off, with cycles and scooters everywhere. Once the gate closes, we get down to the business of the school day. It’s a simple, honest place for kids to learn without any fuss. We don’t have fancy extras, just classrooms and books and a lot of students trying to do their best every day.
