Shantiniketan Vidhyalaya

Shantiniketan Vidhyalaya is situated in the Vejalpur area of Ahmedabad, specifically over in Shri Nand Nagar. It’s a neighborhood school through and through. Most of our students live within walking distance, so you see a lot of familiar faces every single day. The building is a standard multi-story structure that has seen a lot of use over the years. Inside, the hallways are usually filled with the sound of teachers talking and the occasional bang of a desk being moved. We have a routine that we stick to, starting with the morning bell and ending when the sun is high in the afternoon. Ahmedabad can get incredibly hot, so we do our best to keep the rooms as comfortable as possible for the kids, though it’s not always easy. We have a small playground where the younger ones get to run around for a bit. The staff room is always cluttered with notebooks and tea cups, which is pretty typical for a place like this. Parents often drop by to talk about their kids or pick up some documents from the office. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We are just a local school providing a place for the children of Vejalpur to get through their classes. It’s a bit noisy, a bit crowded, and the stairs are a bit steep, but it’s our daily reality and we are quite content with it here.
