Shantinath Steel Stores

We’ve been here at Shantinath Steel Stores on Lakkadpitha Faiyazkhan Road for a good while now. It is right in the Madan Zanpa Road area, which stays busy most days. When we first opened up, things were a bit quieter, but now there are trucks and people moving about all the time. People come in looking for different steel items for their houses or for small projects they are doing. We mostly just keep stock of what people ask for. Sometimes the shop gets a bit crowded with metal, and we have to move stuff around to make space. It’s a lot of physical work, lifting and organizing, but that is how it goes in this trade. The weather gets pretty hot here, so the metal feels warm to the touch in the afternoons. My brother and I usually handle the orders ourselves. We don’t have a big office or anything fancy, just our desk and the stacks of steel. It’s a simple setup. If someone needs a specific size, we try to get it sorted out. Sometimes things take a bit longer if the delivery is late, but we tell folks how it is. We’ve known the neighbors around here for years. It’s nice being part of the local market scene on Faiyazkhan Road. We don’t really do big advertisements or anything like that. Most people just know we are here by the Madan Zanpa side. We just keep our heads down and get the work done.
