Sarovar Education Society

We are based in Khanpur, specifically at 102 Faiz Complex. It’s right there at J P Chowk, which is a pretty well-known spot in this part of Ahmedabad. Sarovar Education Society has been around for a while now. We aren't a big, flashy organization with hundreds of staff or a giant budget. It’s just a few of us working out of this office most days. The walls are lined with old files and records from all the programs we’ve run over the years. Khanpur is an old part of the city, and it has a lot of character and history. We like being here. The room is simple—just some wooden tables, chairs, and a few computers that have seen better days. We spend most of our time coordinating different educational projects for the community. It can get a bit hectic when we have a lot of people visiting at once to ask about classes. Sometimes we have tea and just talk about what needs to be done next. There’s no big mission statement hanging on the wall. We just see a need for some educational support in the area and we try to fill it. People know where to find us if they have questions or need help with paperwork. It’s a very local, neighborhood feel. The traffic at J P Chowk can be loud, but we’re used to the honking by now. It’s just the sound of the city moving around us while we do our daily work. It keeps us grounded.
