Sahajanand Arts & Commerce College

We are situated within the Kasturbhai Lalbhai Campus on University Road. You can find us right opposite H L College, which is a very well-known spot in Navrangpura. This area is the heart of the university district, so it is always buzzing with students and young people. Our college focuses on arts and commerce subjects. The buildings on our campus have a lot of character; they aren't brand new, but they have that solid, lived-in feel. There are plenty of old trees around that provide shade where students like to hang out between their classes. It’s a very traditional college atmosphere. We have large classrooms with high ceilings and old wooden benches. It’s not a high-tech corporate style environment. It’s a place where you hear the scratching of pens and the murmur of lectures. Being on University Road means we are close to everything, from bookshops to small eateries. We’ve seen generations of students pass through these halls. Some of the faculty have been here for decades. We don't spend much time on fancy decorations or modern aesthetics. Our focus is just on the daily schedule and making sure the students have what they need to get through their courses. It’s a busy, functional campus that has been a part of the Navrangpura community for a long time. We just keep doing what we do, day in and day out, in this corner of the city.
