Sagar Rolling Mills (P.) Ltd. is located across plots 357 and 253 in the G.V.M.M. area of Odhav. Having two spots makes things a bit easier for storage and production. Odhav is a busy industrial hub, and we are right in the thick of it. We spend most of our time at the mill, making sure the steel is being rolled correctly. It is a lot of heavy lifting and monitoring the machinery. We have a crew of workers who have been with us for a long time. The noise is constant during the day, so we’ve all learned to talk a bit louder. We aren’t interested in being a fancy corporation. We just want to get the orders filled and the trucks loaded. Sometimes the materials arrive late, and we have to adjust our schedule on the fly. It’s a practical place with a lot of heavy equipment. The office is just where we keep the books and take a few phone calls. Most of the real work happens on the floor. We don’t use a lot of big words or have meetings that last for hours. We just look at what needs to be done and we do it. The yard is usually full of scrap and finished goods waiting to be moved. It’s a messy, honest way to make a living, and it works for us. We drink our tea together and then get right back to the rollers. It's just simple hard work.
