S D A Higher Sec School

Our school, S D A Higher Sec School, is situated over in Maninagar (E) here in Ahmedabad. It’s a busy part of town, so there’s always something going on just outside our gates. We’ve been around long enough that most people in the neighborhood know exactly where to find us. The building itself is pretty traditional. We have rows of classrooms and a main hall that gets a lot of use for all sorts of things throughout the year. It isn't a quiet place, especially when the kids are moving between subjects, but that’s to be expected. The staff here are a mix of younger teachers and some who have been with us since the very beginning. We don’t go in for anything too flashy or modern. We just stick to the basics of running a decent school. Sometimes the local traffic makes getting here a bit of a headache, but we’re used to it by now. The kids come from all over this part of Ahmedabad. We focus on getting through the curriculum and making sure everyone is where they should be at the end of the day. It’s a lot of paperwork and planning, but we manage. We don’t have a big marketing budget or anything like that. We just let the work speak for itself. If you walk past our building in Maninagar, you’ll hear the teachers talking and the kids playing. It’s just a regular school doing its best for everyone involved.
