R.K.Steel Smith

We have been operating out of R.K.Steel Smith for quite some time now at the Bileshwar Industrial Estate. If you know this part of Odhav-Kathvade Road, you know it gets busy with trucks and people moving things back and forth. Our spot is at number 163, right across from G.V.M.M. It isn’t a fancy office with glass walls or anything like that. It’s mostly just us, a lot of steel, and the sound of machines doing their job every day. The air here usually smells like cut metal and oil, which is just how an industrial estate should be, I guess. We spend our mornings checking what came in and what needs to go out to the sites. Sometimes the tea stall nearby is the only thing that keeps us going during a long shift. We don’t really do big advertisements because most people just find us through word of mouth or by seeing the sign when they pass by. It is a bit dusty, and the floors are stained, but that’s what happens when you work with steel. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a bit over the years, more buildings coming up, but we just keep doing what we do. It’s a straightforward way to make a living, and we don’t try to make it sound like more than it is. We just show up, handle the metal, talk to the drivers, and head home when the sun goes down.
