Rainbow Communication/Akash Copiers

Our shop is tucked away in the Shivshyam Complex, which is right across from the Passport Office on University Road. Because of where we are, things get very hectic during the day. People are always rushing in with stacks of papers that need copying or forms that need to be sent out. We have a few machines going at once, so it can get pretty loud and hot inside the shop. Rainbow Communication and Akash Copiers basically run side by side here. Navrangpura is a busy part of town, especially with the university so close by. Students come in looking for cheap copies or help with their mobile connections. The floor is usually covered in little scraps of paper by the end of the afternoon. We do not have a lot of space for people to sit and wait, so they mostly just stand around the counter checking their phones. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait for the backup to kick in, which is always a bit annoying for everyone. We try to keep the lines moving, but when the machines jam, it takes a minute to fix. It is not a glamorous job, but it keeps us busy from morning until night. We see hundreds of different faces every week, mostly people just trying to get their paperwork finished. It is a fast-paced little corner of the city.
