It’s a bit of a mouthful to tell people the address over the phone, but once you find the petrol pump, it’s easy. We spend our days dealing with all the research and management stuff that goes on in a place like this. The office gets pretty crowded with books and papers everywhere. Sometimes the lift in the building acts up, so we end up taking the stairs more than we’d like. Ahmedabad heat is no joke, so we’re grateful for the AC when it’s working right. Students and staff are always coming and going, asking questions about schedules or projects. It’s a bit of a maze back here behind the main road, but it keeps things quiet enough for people to actually think. We’ve been in this Bodakdev neighborhood for a while. The tea stall around the corner is where most of us end up during breaks. We aren’t trying to be anything we’re not. It’s just a place for learning and getting things done. We keep things moving, even when the paperwork piles up higher than the computers. It’s just how life goes in a busy institute like ours. We mostly focus on our tasks and helping everyone out.
