Pratik Metals

Pratik Metals is located at No. 3 in the Gautam Estate. We are right across from the Municipal Garden and very close to the Chakudia Mahadev temple in Rakhial. It’s a good spot because the garden gives us a bit of green to look at, even if the estate itself is all brick and metal. Being near the temple means there’s always people around, which makes the area feel alive. Our workspace is pretty basic. We have rows of metal stock and a few cutting machines that have seen better days but still work perfectly. The office is just a small partitioned area where we keep the files and a dusty computer. We don't waste money on fancy furniture. Most of us have been working in Rakhial for years, so we know all the local tea vendors and the guys at the other units. We get to work early to beat the heat. Dealing with metal is heavy work, so by the end of the day, we’re all pretty tired. There’s always a bit of iron dust on everything, no matter how much we sweep. It’s just part of the environment. We don't have a mission statement on the wall. We just have a list of what needs to get done by Friday. It’s a humble business, but it keeps us busy and provides for the families.
