Phonics Kids

You can find Phonics Kids over in the Sabarmati area, specifically in the Chanchal Chhaya Complex. We are in the Ramnagar part of the neighborhood. It’s a place where we spend our days working with younger children. The focus here is really on the basics of sounds and reading, hence the name. It’s a noisy place, as you can imagine with kids running around and practicing their letters. Sabarmati is a nice part of Ahmedabad to be in, and this complex has a lot of different shops and offices. Our space isn't huge, but it is enough for what we do. We have lots of colorful stuff on the walls to keep things interesting for the little ones. It isn't a corporate environment at all. It’s more like a busy workshop where kids learn to put sounds together. Sometimes things get a bit messy with crayons and papers everywhere, but that’s just part of the job. We see parents dropping off their kids every morning and picking them up later, always in a hurry. We just do our bit to help them get started with their education. It’s practical work, and it takes a lot of patience. Most of us here have been doing this for years, so we’re used to the chaos. We just keep at it, day after day, making sure the kids are actually picking up the skills they need without making a big deal about it.
