Olive Green Kids School

Olive Green Kids School is located in the Bodakdev area of Ahmedabad. It’s a neighborhood that has grown a lot lately, but we try to keep things simple inside our walls. We don't have a fancy street number that stands out, but people in 380054 know where we are. The school is a place where we spend our mornings dealing with the energy of young children. There’s a lot of noise, mostly laughing and the occasional crying when someone drops their snack. Our rooms are filled with basic toys, cushions, and shelves full of colorful books. The staff here are locals who have been with us for a while. We don't use big words or have complicated philosophies. We just make sure the kids are looked after and learn a few things along the way. Ahmedabad summers are tough, so we spend a lot of time making sure the fans are working and the water coolers are full. You’ll often see us at the end of the day sweeping up the sand from the play area or organizing the cubbies. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we do. We don't have a big office with secretaries; usually, it's just one of us answering the phone if it rings. We just keep things running as best as we can every single day, year after year, without much fuss.
