Appex Dyestuff Industries

Appex Dyestuff Industries is situated at Plot No. C-1 258/2 in Phase-2 of the GIDC, Vatva. It’s a busy little unit. If you walk inside, the first thing you’ll notice is the color. Since we work with dyestuffs, there is a fine dust that settles on everything, so most of us have colorful hands and shoes. It’s just part of the job. The building is an older style GIDC shed with high ceilings and a lot of ventilation to keep the air moving. We spend our mornings unloading shipments and the afternoons are for packing things up. There is a lot of heavy lifting involved, so everyone stays pretty fit. The office is really just a corner with a computer and a few files where we handle the billing. It’s not very quiet because of the machines next door, but we don’t really notice it anymore. We have a small water cooler that everyone gathers around when it gets too hot in the afternoon. We don't have a big marketing team or anyone like that. It’s just us doing the work, day in and day out. The gate is usually left open during the day so the breeze can come through. We’ve been at C-1 258/2 for a long time and the neighbors are all good people. We just do our business.
