Anil Dyes & Chemicals Ind. is spread across two plots, C1-241/2 and C1-241/3, over in Phase-2 of the Vatva GIDC. Having that extra bit of space helps us keep the dyes and the chemicals separate so things don't get mixed up. It’s a working plant, so you’ll see stains of different colors on the floor and even on some of the equipment. We don't mind it much; it shows we’re actually making things. The morning starts with tea and then we get right to the boilers and the mixing vats. There is always a rhythm to the work here. We aren't a big corporation with departments for everything. Usually, the person who answers the phone is the same person who might be helping load the truck later. We know the neighbors on both sides, and we often help each other out if someone runs short on a tool or a bit of packing material. That’s just how it is in this part of Vatva. The sun hits the front of the building pretty hard in the afternoon, so we usually keep the big shutters half-down to stay cool. We’ve been producing our dyes here for years, and we just keep sticking to the basics. It’s a steady life, and we’re happy to be part of the local industry. We just keep our heads down and get the work done every single day.
