Ushanti Colour Chem Pvt. Ltd. (Unit-I) is down at Plot No. 88/7, Phase-1, GIDC in Vatva. This is our first unit, and it’s right in the heart of the chemical zone. Working with colors and chemicals is a messy business, and our floors definitely show it. There is always a certain smell in the air here—not bad, just the smell of the work being done. We spend our days mixing, testing, and packing things up. It’s a lot of physical work and you have to be careful with the measurements. Vatva is a busy area, so there is always a lot of movement outside our gates with tankers and lorries coming and going. We’ve been part of this industrial community for a long time. We don’t have a marketing department or any of those things. We just have a team that knows how to handle the dyes and chemicals we work with. Sometimes the weather affects how things dry or mix, so we have to adjust as we go. It’s not a perfect science every single time, but we’ve got enough experience to know how to fix things when they go a bit sideways. We keep it simple and just focus on making sure the batches we produce are what they are supposed to be. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until evening.
