Shree Kanchan Metal Industries

Shree Kanchan Metal Industries is down at Plot No. C-1 66/10 in Phase-1 of GIDC, Vatva. We have been working with metals for a long time. The workshop is full of scrap and finished pieces. It gets very noisy when the machines are all running at once. We do a lot of cutting and shaping. It's dirty work and our hands are always black with grease. I don't mind it, honestly. It feels like real work. The plot is not the biggest, so we have to be careful about where we stack things. Sometimes we have to move three piles just to get to one tool. We have a small team of five guys. We’ve worked together so long we don't even have to talk much to know what needs doing. Vatva Phase-1 is an older part of the industrial estate. The roads aren't great, but they get the job done. We get our morning tea from the stall at the corner. It’s a highlight of the day. We don’t do any fancy advertising. If someone needs metal work, they usually find us through word of mouth. We focus on the metal and don't worry about the rest. It’s a basic life here. We start when the sun comes up and we head home when the lights go out in the evening. It’s how we've always done things here at 66/10.
