Our facility is based at Plot No. 12/C in Phase-1 of GIDC, Vatva. Palam Pharma is a bit different from some of the heavy metal shops nearby because we deal with pharmaceutical products. This means we have to keep things a bit cleaner, though it is still an industrial unit in a busy area. We spend a lot of our time looking at glass containers and monitoring temperatures in our processing area. It’s a lot of repetitive work, but it has to be done carefully. You won't find us shouting across the floor like in the engineering shops; it’s usually a bit quieter here, except for the sound of the pumps and the ventilation system. We wear our lab coats and hairnets, which can get a bit uncomfortable when the weather is humid. The office handles all the paperwork for the batches we produce, and there is always a lot of it. We are right in the thick of the Vatva industrial belt, so the surroundings are full of trucks and other factories. We have been here for a while and have seen the neighborhood change as more companies move in. We don't do much in the way of advertising. We just focus on our daily production cycles and making sure the containers are filled and sealed correctly before they head out the door.
