Kevin Metal Cast

Being located at Plot No. 77/11, Phase-1, GIDC, Vatva means we are right in the thick of things. Kevin Metal Cast has been operating out of this same space for a good while now. You can usually find a couple of bikes parked out front and maybe a stray cat hanging around the doorway. The interior is full of molds and sand and the various things needed for casting. It gets quite dusty, so we are always sweeping, though it never seems to stay clean for long. We have a big clock on the wall that ticks louder than you would expect, but most of the time the noise from the neighbors drowns it out. The guys here talk a lot about cricket when things are quiet. We don't have a big corporate team; it is just a handful of us making sure everything stays on track. The lunchroom is just a few chairs around a wooden table. We take turns bringing in food or ordering from the stall down the road. It is a very normal way to spend a day. We know the security guards at the main gate by name. The work can be repetitive, but there is a certain rhythm to it that feels right. We just keep our heads down and handle the orders as they come in, one by one, until the day is done.
