We are based at Plot No. A-1/2 in Phase-1 of GIDC, Vatva. This is one of the older parts of the estate, so the roads have seen better days. Our building is a simple one. We’ve been working with plastics here for quite some time now. Most of the staff has been with us for a good number of years. It’s the kind of place where you know everyone’s name and how they like their tea. The daily routine is pretty set. We start early, get the machines warmed up, and start the production runs. There is a lot of stacking and moving boxes around. It’s physical work and your back definitely feels it by the evening. We don’t have those high-tech offices you see in the city center. It’s just desks, some old filing cabinets, and the production floor. Sometimes the power goes out in the area, and we all have to wait around for a bit, which is just part of being in Vatva. We don’t make a big deal out of things. If a machine breaks, we fix it ourselves if we can. It’s a practical way of running things. The stacks of plastic pipes or parts are always growing and then shrinking as the trucks come to pick them up. It’s just how the days go by for us at the shop. We just keep our heads down and get the plastic parts manufactured correctly.
