Deepak Dyes & Chemical Industries is over at Plot No. 77/5 in the first phase of GIDC, Vatva. It’s a busy spot. If you’ve ever walked around here, you know how it gets with the trucks and the dust. We’ve been operating from this same building for quite a while now. Most days start early, usually before the sun gets too high because the heat in Vatva can be something else once noon hits. We handle a lot of chemical stuff and dyes, so there is always that specific smell in the air around the plot. It isn’t fancy at all. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we are too busy managing the drums and the mixing to worry about that. People come and go, mostly regulars who know where we are tucked away. It’s a practical setup. We have the office area which is just a couple of desks and some old files, and then the main floor where the real work happens. Sometimes the machines act up or a delivery is late, and that’s just how it goes. We don’t have any big corporate speeches to give. We just show up, do the work, and try to get things out on time. The neighbors at the other plots are mostly the same way, just folks trying to get through the work week. It’s a bit noisy with the machinery, but you get used to it after a few days.
