Our office is located at number 11 in the Valmik Complex. It’s right there by Parimal Garden in Ahmedabad, which is a nice landmark to have nearby even if we don’t spend much time sitting on the grass. The area gets quite a bit of traffic, especially during the rush hours when everyone is trying to get through the 380006 zip code. Inside the building, things are usually focused on the technical side of the drug industry. We aren't a big flashy corporation with glass walls; it’s more about the labs and the processing area where the actual chemistry happens. There is a specific smell that hangs in the air, a mix of various compounds and cleaning agents that you just get used to after a week or two. We have benches cluttered with glass bottles, scales, and various records that need to be filled out by hand. The lighting is bright and a bit harsh, but you need to see what you’re doing when you’re measuring things out. Most of the staff has been here for years, so we all know each other’s habits and how the machines like to run. Sometimes the elevator in the complex is a bit slow, so we end up taking the stairs more often than not. It’s a busy place with a lot of moving parts, and we just try to keep everything organized and running according to the daily schedule.
