P. Pharma

P. Pharma is located in the basement of the Bhangwadi Shopping Arcade on Kalbadevi Road. It’s shop number 17, but you have to look closely because the arcade is very crowded. Kalbadevi is a busy market area, so there are people and carts everywhere outside. Our shop is quite small and filled to the ceiling with boxes and medicine bottles. It can feel a bit cramped when more than two people are inside. We spend a lot of time organizing the stock and checking expiration dates. It’s a bit dark since we are in the basement, but we have good lights. We don't have any fancy displays or advertising. People come to us because they know we have what they need. It’s a lot of manual work, moving boxes around and keeping track of orders. Sometimes the humidity in the basement is a bit much, so we keep the fans going all day. We’ve been in this arcade for years and know all the other shopkeepers. It’s a noisy, fast-paced environment, but we are used to it. We just try to be helpful and get the orders out quickly. There isn't much room for sitting down, so we are on our feet most of the day. It’s a simple, busy life here in the market, doing our part.
