P D Pandya Mahila Commerce College

This college has been a part of this Ahmedabad neighborhood for quite some time. We are tucked away in the 380050 area, and it's mostly a quiet street until the students arrive. Since it's a commerce college for women, we see a lot of young women coming in every morning with their bags full of accounts books. The building itself is nothing too fancy, just a solid place with several floors and a lot of stairs. We spend our days dealing with enrollment forms and making sure the exam schedules are posted on time. Sometimes the photocopy machine acts up right when a teacher needs it most. That’s just part of the daily routine here. The staff room is usually a bit messy with tea cups and old registers. We don’t have a massive campus, but we make use of the space we have. During the break times, the hallways get quite noisy with everyone chatting. It's a very practical environment. We don't spend much on decorations or anything like that. We just focus on the classes. Gujarat summers are hot, so we make sure the water coolers are always full. People in the area know us well because we’ve been here so long. It is just a place for learning and getting through the degree. Not much more to it than that. We just keep the doors open and the lights on.
