Shivam Fabrication

Shivam Fabrication is situated at Dandi Chowk in Old Vadaj. It is often a noisy place because we are always cutting or welding pieces of metal. We have been at this location for a while now and we know the area well. The workshop has tools lying everywhere and the floor is usually covered in small metal shavings. We work with our hands mostly. It is tough work, and your clothes get dirty pretty fast from the grease and dust. There are always sparks flying when we are in the middle of a welding job. People from around Old Vadaj come to us when they need something made or repaired out of iron or steel. We do not have a fancy showroom to show off. It is just the workshop where all the heavy lifting and making happens. We open the big front doors in the morning to let the air in. Sometimes it is just one person working, and other times a few of us are teaming up on a bigger project. We use some old machines that still work perfectly fine for what we need to do. Dandi Chowk is a very familiar place for us. We have seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years while we stayed right here in the same spot. We take our breaks when we can, usually sitting on whatever metal scraps are available. It is not a glamorous job, but it is what we know how to do.
