Suraj Metal Works

We are located near Adarsh 2 in the Odhav area. It’s an industrial neighborhood, so there’s always a bit of grit in the air and the sound of workshops nearby. Suraj Metal Works is a straightforward place. We have big sheets of metal leaning against the walls and scraps on the floor. The main sound here is the grinders and the occasional spark from the welding torch. It’s a hot environment, especially in the afternoons, so we keep the big doors open for whatever breeze we can get. We don't have a fancy office with air conditioning. There’s just a small desk in the corner where we keep the ledger and the bills. Most of our day is spent out on the shop floor measuring, cutting, and joining pieces. We don't use big words or have complicated processes. Someone comes in with a sketch or a broken part, and we see what we can do. It’s local manufacturing in its simplest form. We know the other metalworkers on the block and sometimes trade tools or advice. It’s a bit messy and loud, but that’s just the nature of working with steel and iron. We’ve been here in Odhav for a long time and the locals know our faces. We just focus on the task at hand and try to get the orders out on time. It is a busy life under a tin roof.
