You can find us at the Rashmi Growth Hub and Industrial Estate, right on that stretch of the 200 Ft Road between Odhav and Vastral. Global Machining Solutions operates out of unit 105, and it’s a pretty standard industrial setup. Being right opposite Shreya Residency means we see the neighborhood change from residential to industrial in just a few steps. The shop floor is usually a bit noisy because of the machines running, and there’s always a thin layer of metal dust on the windowsills no matter how much we clean. We deal with various machining tasks, and it’s the kind of work where you’re on your feet most of the day. The heat from the Sardar Patel Ring Road seems to drift in during the summer, making the fans work overtime. We don't have any fancy reception area; you just walk in and find someone in overalls. Most of us have been working with lathes and mills for years, so we just get on with the job. We share stories during the tea break about the traffic on the ring road or what’s happening in the local market. It’s a practical workplace where we value the tools we use and the people we work alongside. We don't spend much time on the computer unless it’s for the basics, preferring to be out where the actual work happens.
