If you head down to the Gujarat Vepari Mahamandal in the Odhav area, you'll eventually find us at number 335. That is where Amar Steel Re-Rolling Mills is located. It’s a very loud place, completely full of the constant sound of heavy metal moving and the heat from the machinery. We take raw steel and roll it into various different shapes and sizes based on what’s needed. It is really hard work, and the guys working on the floor put in a lot of sweat and effort every single day. The air inside is often quite dusty and it gets incredibly hot whenever you are near the furnaces. We aren't trying to be anything fancy or special. We just run the machines and make sure the steel comes out looking right. The yard outside is usually packed with raw materials and big stacks of finished metal just waiting to be loaded onto the trucks. It can look like a bit of a mess sometimes, but we usually know exactly where everything is kept. We’ve been operating out of Odhav for a pretty long time now. Most people around this area know us as a very straightforward and simple operation. We don't have a fancy reception area with a secretary or a big marketing team. It’s just the mill itself and a small office tucked in the corner where we keep the books and handle the orders. It’s a regular industrial job, day in and day out, without any fuss. We just focus on the rolling process and making sure the trucks get loaded correctly.
